KABALIKAT SA KABUHAYAN OF SM FOUNDATION INC., LAUNCHED

San Pablo City- To empower farmers on training for commercial vegetables and short-term fruits production, SM Foundation Inc. in cooperation with Dept. of Agriculture and City Agriculturist Office, launched Kabalikat sa Kabuhayan last July 11 at San Rafael Covered Court.

            The season-long training from land preparation to sowing then harvesting benefitted 119 farmers from 19 barangays of San Pablo City and from municipalities of Bay, Nagcarlan and Binan. Trainees were divided into four groups and each tilled 16 plots planted with the assigned crops.

            The training have 11 sessions of technical briefing and hands-on field training which started last August 10 at the site training at Cardil Village, Brgy. del Remedio.

            Harbest Agribusiness Corp. provided the improved and double agricultural technology while the CAO as the implementing office provided the training, venue and the facilitator.

            According to City Agriculturist Alex Dionglay the graduation ceremony will be this coming September at SM City San Pablo. (CIO-SPC)
